Too bad they tasted like "cardboard"

I recently had some as well, and the best description I can give them is "breadsticks", like those "Grissini" you get at Italian restaurants sometimes and completely without seasoning.
If you want good spanish biscuits, get a breakfast ration. They (at least the one I had) have biscuits and they are sweet and tasty! Like Marie-kex! https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Marie_biscuit

No they're more like dried wheat bread. The breakfast crackers are sweet.

The date listed on them is that an expiration date (EXP: Dec 2015)? Totally possible these are stale due to not having a durable packaging.

To be honest, it's been like 15 years since I had grissini, so my memory is probably not very good but I remember them as dry tasteless breadsticks Maybe there are different types...
But yeah, the pan galleta I think are supposed to be some bread substitute, not tasty crackers, I guess a bit like the Russian ones which are also very uninteresting.
I think the German EPa Hartkeks are better
