I recently had some as well, and the best description I can give them is "breadsticks", like those "Grissini" you get at Italian restaurants sometimes and completely without seasoning.
If you want good spanish biscuits, get a breakfast ration. They (at least the one I had) have biscuits and they are sweet and tasty! Like Marie-kex! https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Marie_biscuit

No they're more like dried wheat bread. The breakfast crackers are sweet.

Hey, those are just as good as the German EPA biscuits.

The date listed on them is that an expiration date (EXP: Dec 2015)? Totally possible these are stale due to not having a durable packaging.

To be honest, it's been like 15 years since I had grissini, so my memory is probably not very good but I remember them as dry tasteless breadsticks :) Maybe there are different types...
But yeah, the pan galleta I think are supposed to be some bread substitute, not tasty crackers, I guess a bit like the Russian ones which are also very uninteresting.
I think the German EPa Hartkeks are better :P

You get them over here in "any" flavor, but not sweet:
