Thanks for the link, Dekard. I saw something similar on Digg a few days ago but that article linked to a Japanese page that was hard to read. This one was easier to follow.

Another good one is the canned bread made by B&M (you can find it in the market near the baked beans. It keeps forever, and even after opening, will keep a long time. Just hope you like molasses; it's the old Boston steamed bread recipe.

There was actually such a thing, back in the day, like the late '40s, 50's and 60's. It was a C-Rat. Looks like the U.S. tryed that again in the early '90s with some kind of bread packs. Do they still make those?, or just contract out locally for bread. now? :idea:
