Eversafe MREs - UPDATE - OK to buy now

UPDATE: The original title of this thread was "Eversafe MREs - do not buy recommendation". Over the past couple of months, I've been working directly with Wornick to resolve these problems and I think we have everything cleared up.

The main problem was that there was one online seller, MREStore.com, who was representing themselves as the sole distributor of Eversafes. According to Wornick, MREStore.com is not an authorized distributor as we still recommend NOT purchasing Eversafes through them.

But you can still purchase Eversafes through Wornick directly or through one of their truly authorized distributors, LongLifeFood.com. I just reviewed a new (Feb. 2010) case of Eversafes from Wornick and have the updated menus (which are very good and calorie rich!) here:

Due to the increasing number of complaints I've received about the online store selling the new Wornick Eversafe MREs, I have had to remove any mention of that store from the main website and I'm also recommending against the purchase of any Eversafe MREs. The online store is mrestore dot com and I've received reports from both a company and a number of individuals who have either not received their paid-for orders or who only received their orders after 2-6 weeks of complaining via email.

So stay away from Eversafes for now.

Kman, the people who have had issues with mrestore, have they tried contacting Wornick directly to voice there concerns? I have a contact at Wornick, Erin Allen, who has been extremely helpful in the past. She has even helped me arrange pickups of Eversafe products straight from their Blue Ash facility. I suggest you have them email her at Erin.Allen@wornick.com

Jason, I don't know if they buyers involved have contacted Wornick but I'll pass along your recommendation. In this case, these people have already paid for their Eversafes (one company to the tune of thousands of dollars) but have yet to receive anything. I would be surprised if Wornick would actually hand over the Eversafes to them if it's a different company who received the payment for it - but it's probably worth asking and at least it's worth letting Wornick know what's happening to their products in the marketplace.
