That's not bad at all ---- if the cans are in the kind of shape the picture indicates. I paid $45.00 for mine, plus another $20.00 to get it shipped to me.

I'm wasted trying to find out. Lord, knows I've eaten my share of green eggs and bacon, out of them. :(

Hi All,I have 3 Ill sell 2, 40.00 each plus shipping. The gaskets [4 each] are in good shape, the cans could use some paint. I was told[ mermite] has to do with the insulation used.

I received an interesting response to the Mermite question. But was it correct? Stay tuned....

You are correct, C Rats. I got lucky a few times, and the french toast was still "lukewarm". How did they keep coffee hot. The coffee was always hot. Must have been something to do with the First Seargant and the Commander. They still never ate anything until all us E-1-E-5s ate.

To be absolutly honest with you Dave, the only breakfast food that I can remember ever getting hot while out in the field was SOS/Chipped Beef (of course the toast was long cold). And you're right about the coffee ---- always hot! :P

When I was stationed at Fort Lewis in the late `70s my battalion had an outstanding Mess Sergeant. This guy really had a nack for making excellent Chicken Salad sandwiches, and we almost akways got them as a late night snack after coming in from an evening FTX. Yep, a Chicken Salad `sammich and a good hot cup of coffee....yummmmm (burp!). :)
