(disclaimer in hindsight - the images of internal contents seem to have xmre branding visible, see first image. So it is more likely a home job imitating xmre lite mres so the naval store can increase profits. Aussie military stores near me do similar imitations where you can get a branded "hunger buster" for $xyz or their own "brand" of cobbled together shelf stable ready to eat food for $abc which is normally a bit cheaper to buy, but a lot cheaper content wise so the store sees a higher profit margin).
