What MRE is this?

Post by FiveStar » Fri Sep 21, 2018 12:40 am

Hey guys I bought these overpriced suckers in New York City at an army navy shop a while ago. Anyone know what they are? I think they’re made by Ameriqual. Never seen them before so wondering how common they are or maybe they’re a homemade job?

Hey my good man, see the attached image. These appear to be xmre commercially available lite mres. Hope that helps :) (disclaimer in hindsight - the images of internal contents seem to have xmre branding visible, see first image. So it is more likely a home job imitating xmre lite mres so the naval store can increase profits. Aussie military stores near me do similar imitations where you can get a branded "hunger buster" for $xyz or their own "brand" of cobbled together shelf stable ready to eat food for $abc which is normally a bit cheaper to buy, but a lot cheaper content wise so the store sees a higher profit margin).

Hopefully you didn't pay too much and can make some back if you're selling them. Thanks guys, MikeRE the BFG.
