What Rations are these?

Post by Cortexmelon »

They have the same menus and bag design as the late 80's-early 90's MRE's, but the package is diferent. Does anybody got any idea what it could be?

I would venture to guess that they are civilian rations from that time period. But maybe factory rejects.

The sale is over, so that link takes you to a "similar items" page now, that's why it shows an HDR.

I regret that I didn't save the screen shot of that eBay page...
As for that MRE, only the menu name was described on the brown bag.

I thin if you click the word "listing" in this phrase on the eBay page (located in upper left of page) it will take you to the original listing.
The listing you’re looking for is no longer available. Check out this similar item we found for you.

I saved the pictures. I ordered one of the lots and it's expected to arrive in the mail today.

I think that they are like prototypes, like the ones that had the paper labels on it, but these have the menu printed directly on the bag

I believe the first time I saw an MRE like these was the mid 1990's at a surplus store. I know I bought one, but I can't really remember what was in it unfortunately.
