Let's open it up and see what's inside. . .
The entree, desert, and tortillas were US made, by Wornick. The ration contained the following. . .
1 main entree, 240 grams.
1 desert, cherry blueberry desert, 140 grams.
1 dehydrated side dish, vegetable rice, 45 grams.
2 beverage packs, lemon sports drink.
1 package of tortillas (contains 2 tortillas).
1 beverage bag.
1 moist towelette.
1 book of matches.
1 packet of peanut butter.
1 packet of raspberry jam.
1 packet of cinnamon gum (contained 2 pieces).
1 pack of Fudgee'O cookies (contained 2 cookies).
1 packet of hot sauce.
1 dental stimulator / toothpick.
1 Werther's coffee-flavored hard candy.
1 long white spoon.
1 heavy-duty paper napkin (seriously, I think you could patch a cot with these things).
I heated the entree using the BIB method, and added boiling water to the vegetable rice and let it sit for the 8-10 minutes that the directions called for.
After cooking, I got it plated on fine dinner service. . .
The entree was very good. The chicken was a processed, formed chicken, but the flavor was good, and they give you a generous portion of meat. There were also potatoes, mushrooms and carrots. The sauce was delightful, with a great tarragon flavor. Not salty, just seasoned just right already.
The rice was quite bland. There were little bits of vegetables mixed in, but no real other discernible flavor. Salt would have been very good to help make it more palatable. I ended up mixing it in the entree, which was definitely the way to go!
The lemon sports drink was good. It tasted very similar to "Gatorade" sports drink. It wasn't crazy neon colored, and the flavor was good, not overly "artificial" tasting. No bad aftertaste either.
I would've much rather had the bread with this entree, but I made do with the tortillas. I used one to eat some of the entree with, and the other I used with the raspberry jam. I didn't eat the peanut butter.
The cherry blueberry desert was, I think, identical to the MRE cherry blueberry cobler. It tasted identical. The packaging was slightly different, but the only MRE cobler I had on-hand to compare it with was an Ameriqual made one. The US cobler was also 142 grams, which could just vary a little from contractor-to-contractor. It was very good. I would personally take this desert anytime over some of the other desert items like cookies.
The cookies were good, and tasted perfectly fresh. They were chocolate cookies with a chocolate filling. Not too much more can be said.

I was quite happy with this IMP. I would've taken the bread over the torillas, and I was surprised there was no hot beverage provided, but all-in-all, it was great!
Thanks for reading!
