Today I want to have a special dinner so I decided for a French cuisine


Smoked sausages w/ potatos and canned cheese

BUT

the 2005 cheese

was close to explode

A little scared I opend the entree after I heard some "bubbling" noises from inside

and a "sour" smell came out. The can wasn´t swollen and I don´t know if that dish should smell like this, but I didn´t dare to eat it after 7 years.

I tried an German EPa

Italian style noodles dish

This is nothing special but in this new containers

I have no experience > 10 years of shelf life as they were introduced in 1999/2000

After cut open the top lid

no suspicious smell

Let´s see if I´m still fine tomorrow

I cannot smell anything but from the pictures it looks tasty

The last one I had it Friday, you should told me, I'd kept for you. In the next parcel I'll hope to send you one, at least. They are very good. My top 5 rations:

1. Norway - best chow I've tried, the only drwback, they need hot water.
2-3 - equal - EPas and RCIRs
4. British
5. Dutch

Really, it´s "French cuisine".
They don´t have continetal breakfast, just a salad bowl of (milk)coffee w/ crackers

and every ration has a tommy cocker inside

yes, I know the rations, but never eat an entry of them - I got a whole box last wek - have to try them out now!
A friend of min has had one last Summer and was excited - so you`re kidding me!
