I got my first whole case of Ration Cold Weather from an ebay auction Image

For "some reason", the seller removed all printings from the sleeve Image

So I have no exact date of production of them, but supposed between 1995 and 98 (Thx to Kman)

The case

Interesting, I thought that box style was only for the newer meal cold weather and the older RCW's came in the more "flat" case like the old MRE's. But I notice the rations have the peelable seal so these must have come out right before the transition to the MCW. Do they still have the chocolate covered oatmeal cookies + toffee chocolate "bar" or the oatmeal / granola bar they would be in the dinner ration? Those things were good! I noticed that case on Ebay.de too!

Congratulations!! Oli, I´m quite sure that the case is packed 1999 :!: . Look close to the white bags, the foil is a little bit transparent, so perhaps you can find a date code of the inner pouches...

Ja  Seaking and watching for month and years... Image

There is another one at Ebay.de

The seller asserts they are good for ten years (again). This is why I think, he ripped away all printings to "hide" their age.

Thx Daniel :D
Usually same rip off over here. You can "offset them with gold". So I´m this happy I got the whole case for "just" +€100 Image

See ->this auction<-:
A single bag MCW for €30,50 + S/H (=$51)

Wow, you are right "Quincy"...

I found one bag
Image
you can read the date codes of the main entree thru the bags foil :D

but it´s:

Image

Image

So what number is the right one? Both could be the date code:
99192N: 9919 is impossible, but 9192 could be a 1999 one
86252: 8625 is impossible, but 6252 could be a 1996 one

So I opened another bag I allready had to make sure which code is the right one.

Image
This is obviously a 1998 one

So the right code out of the numbers supposed to be
Image
that one: 8098

Funny to mention, out of that (early) 1998 bag
Image

came a (late) 1999 pouch too :?:
Image

So my case is a 9192 = 1999
