Not a ration, but UK food is very rare over here

Our local supermarket has an "English Week":

Good choice with the steak pie and Cheddar Cheese!

For a real tradional meal, have the pie with mashed potatoes with peas.

If you want any more British food, just let me know I can send you some brown sauce if you want.

Looks good. Keep us posted. I do find it interesting the wording on the packaging. In the UK, those 'chips' would be referred to as 'crisps', chips being a more american term for the snack, also the Brits would call what we refer to fries, chips. Any Steak & Guinness pie, or spotted dick?

Thats looks good, just like food at home. I'm glad you enjoyed it, the second stage of your British transformation is complete! (first being fish and chips!)

You can get pies in cans Just take the lid off and cook in the oven. The old British tinned rations had a steak pie as one of the menus.

I ate it when I visited the UK back in 89'. I also like bangers and mash....
To wash it down couple of pints of ale....Guinness,my favorite
