Curious if anyone has any experience with the USMC survival saw?

Yup. They do work. I wouldn't try and cut down a big tree with it, but they will work for cutting smaller pieces of wood, including small trees.

No experience here - but it looks like it could be useful for a survival pack if it works. Where'd you get it?

This saw I don't believe is produced any longer. Sort of a period piece. I have a different wire saw in a can. But this saw (MB-2) appears to have received good reviews. It's part of an old USMC survival kit.

I don't have any particular recommendation though collectors may be interested. I don't have one for sale.

I want this shit! Beside EBay, how i can find an complete USMC Survival kit? The NSN. 1680-01-325-7861 one? Don Rearic have a very nice review here:

Look for "Survival Kit, Individual NSN. 1680-01-325-7861" I think it may still be a current issue item.
Availability in Romania may be a bit limited though.

I have the fishing kit, it's pretty cool I guess. The needles rusted out just like all of the reviews said they do, but everything else works well. I recommend Doug Ritters PSK if you're looking for a pocket pack.
