Warrifles/Broadsword forum?

Post by kman » Thu Jan 03, 2008 11:21 pm

Are any of you guys on the warrifles.com forums? I usually keep an eye on Broadsword's forum for any news about group buys. In December, I noticed the traffic was light there but I just checked tonight and traffic is just plain dead now - there haven't been any updates since the beginning of December and the forum has disappeared off the main list. I can still get to the old forum here:

Does anyone know what happened? Did they pack up and move somewhere else?

Don't know what happened other than the food forum suddenly disappeared off of the displayed list on Dec. 1.

I emailed Broadsword about this and emailed me back. It sounds like there was a fallout between the Warrifles.com admins and Broadsword so they closed the forum down. According to Broadsword, Mountain House has been getting a lot of pressure from dealers who are being severely undercut by the pricing they were giving the group buys. There is one last group buy going on and then that's going to be it. If I can find out more details about the group buy, I'll pass them along.

Darn, I'm not really in a place to buy even if you can find the group buy but I might make an exception anyway, the prices they get are pretty damn good.

order cut off date was jan 4th payments are due jan 18th i was unable to get in on this one also. too bad. just some good people offering a service at a better price than others and they got shut down for it. i voiced my opinion on war rifles requested my membership to be cancelled and have not gone back. plus i dont agree with the censorhip there. not just cussing and stuff. but it seems like you better not disagree with the owner or he will remove your posts. just my opinion, but i dont visit the site any longer. i think kman runs a forum the way it should be. while it is his site and he can do what he wants. it is open to us at no charge and we can say what we want. and look how it works no real arguments some small disagreement but nothing major. i only know of one thread being locked. and it was only done so after everybody had a fair shot to voice their opinions. keep it up kman.

Agreed, I love that everyone here can agree to disagree with the exception of what, one or two threads that have been locked to my knowledge.

True. Although i think it also has to do with the relatively small group that hangs around here. The bigger the group of ppl, the more likely there's some Regular nutcase in there. :P

bl00k: I agree with that, I'd rather have you guys around any day than a massive impersonal forum. This place is great and a big thanks to kman for keeping it that way. Now I just need to do my part and crank out a few more contributions. I have those EPAs that I need to open another one of (wink wink) and take pictures for everyone.
