Yeah, I'd think it could be hard to deal with a bunch of cans when flying. I could see the air crews taking sandwiches, fruit, some chocolate or candy, a thermos or two of soup they could drink from a cup, and a thermos of tea or coffee, drinkable from a cup, instead. Easier to handle, and you wouldn't need to heat anything up.

Thanks to Kwiklot, I now have one of these. Showed it to my buddy yesterday and he confirmed it was the same thing their forward observers use. The equavilant to Marine Recon or Army Pathfinders or LRPs.

Now I just have to figure out what i am going to do with it. Do I donate it to the museum? Send it to one of the big review guys? Save it for the Charity Auction at the Meet Up? Or just eat it. Hmmmmmmm.
