Very different ration today

Phone translated to Special Combat Diet. This is the LRP of Russia i am thinking

Less than 500 grams!

Large amount of food, all FD/dehydrated

This was tasty, not spicy, easy to make and eat.

Entrees were very filling, texture was proper which was surprising for the beef and barley.

Excellent tea!

Good crackers, very plain dense but chew nice and not gritty.

Honey good!

Nice review, I'm looking forward to getting my hands on a couple of these special rations. I have several IRPs in my stocks and it's one of my favorites. I REALLY love the kasha lol...

I have to say, i never though i would eat this ration.

Back in the day anything Russian was beyond impossible to get a hold of here, now it seems there are plenty around!

They look great!
As much as I like freezedried rations, you always need hot water to reconstituted them.

I've never heard of one of those but it looks like something flight crews in larger aircraft would use like a cargo plane or bomber where you had access to a water source. Will have to see if I can track one of these down not to mention some more 411. Thanks for sharing!

Is this a new type of russian ration? I've only seen the IRP's and the occasional mountain ration. Would this be given to special forces? Neat find by the way!

Not sure if totally new or just new to me.

It could be special forces, or as gundog suggested flight crews.

I kind of lean to flight crew since the outer packaging is kind of flimsy and i dont think special forces guys are getting by on 1 of these a day, calorie wise, an air crew member would.
