It is not an army ration. It is the civil copy, simply similar to an army ration. Even the structure of this ration differs from a military ration. There are no tablets for disinfection, there are no military drinks like Adapton, etc.

Ebay is a good source. There is multiple Russian users here along with members from other countries (including the US) who are willing to sell/trade Russian IRPs and other rations with you. There are also a load of Russianmilitary surplus websites (example, greyshop.ru)that sell IRPs overseas. I don't know the current pricing for them at the moment but you'll find that rations off of ebay are cheaper than the surplus stores. There are also civilian IRP's that are sold as "military issue", watch out for those. Also, IRPs have shorter lifespans than MREs. The crackers are first to go but usually everything else will be fine. Sometimes the crackers and an entree might break open while shipping (happened to me :( ) so be careful about that. They're good rations and they're pretty cheap compared to other 24 hour rations out there.

Good luck and Cheers!
