People in Emergency Management usually come from the emergency services industry -- fire, police, EMS, etc. -- but they could also have backgrounds in corporate security, environmental health & safety, business or public administration, or other field as it relates to their emergency management specialty.

Since 9/11, the field has grown and there has also been quite an expansion in the number of college certificate and degree programs offered in emergency management and homeland security.

Also handy is working with horses.. that'll get you a great job in emergency management.

I Have Been Told That Being Able to swim in putrid water
while carrying a box of mre's is helpful in obtaining employment
in that field. Also You Must be a registered republican!

Can be used for almost everything. Even eating. They are flammable and hard as iron (use it as armor, works pretty well)...

Everlasting rye pellet bread. A little dry, but tastes well. Tryed some from 1972. They were good.
