You're all going to....

Don't get me wrong if I see a homeless man and I've got extra food I don't need, I'll give it to 'em. Most times they are appreciative.

Bummer...where was this post six months ago when I was in St. Augustine?! I could have loaded up on the stuff then.

Chef Paul's Magic Pepper Sauce

Post by jfko6 » Fri Nov 23, 2007 6:04 pm

Bought some of Chef Paul's seasonings today.

 http://shop.chefpaul.com/index.asp?Page ... ProdID=143

A little pepper sauce for that outing. Maybe.

Chef Paul does it all.

Heh, I always and I mean always keep some of Chef Pauls blackened steak and blackened chicken magic in my pantry. That stuff charms the pants off of women one of two simple ways; I make blackened steak or chicken pasta alfredo, already an easy dish, and the seasoning just makes it PERFECT, or I make a blackened steak or chicken salad, cut the meat real thin, drizzle with a good homemade vinagrette, jesus that's so awesome. Trust me it's worth making your own alfredo sauce too, but the jar stuff with sun dried tomatoes is passable.

I haven't eaten real food in a week since I had surgery for my sleep apnea, and it's driving me insane. I like that I've lost 6-8 pounds, I really needed to lose the weight and all, but what I wouldn't give for something other than blended up soup with no spice at all or ice cream, and I'm so tired of milk shakes. But lets not forget the Ensure, nothing better than drinking milky cake batter. Now I've got to try to go to sleep, but I know when I wake up that I'm going to be off my pain meds and it's going to make me cry while my throat moistens back up and I apply topicals. *sigh* I feel so much better for what it's worth, being able to breathe and wake up feeling rested from sleeping is AMAZING.

/Rant off.

//Cholula is better than just the McDonalds of Pepper Sauces, I cook with it almost as much as I cook with Tony Chacheres.

Is that legal in Texas?

I hope you get to feeling better soon , BigMark! Or with losing all that weight, should you change your name to Not-so-big-but-well-rested-Mark?

I'm really hoping so, I quit smoking 10 months ago when I was sick for 3 weeks, so I'm sort of hoping I can use this weight loss like a catalyst too, although not really the same sort of thing. We'll see, I just have to stay away from fast food and I know I can do fine, and when I do have to go out to eat (darn), just make better choices than the ribeye and mashed pots swapping out the veg for rice..
