Brand New Leaking Issues.,

Post by DangerousDave » Mon Dec 16, 2024 8:18 pm

I've purchased several cases of both A and B at Ft. Gregg-Adams(Lee) Commissary and many single's from the loosie bin. New 2023-2024 packed. New Outer-Pack type. I've never seen so many leaking jelly/jam/PB packs in my life. If the newer type bag is loose, that's a clue something is wrong. If it's super tight still vacuum-packed, should be OK.

Cost. They just went way up. $16.13 per meal. Plus 5% surcharge. Yea, can get super-fresh, but thats what the Gov pays, so thats what U pay. Sad. You do the math, on a case, which you can get.

I wonder what the guys in the field are seeing with regards to the new packing?

Brand New Leaking

They have reduced the durability for sure. Remember the earliest iteration were supplied in a very thick heavy box, with another thick heavy sleeve around it. The sleeve was deleted at some point, and later the box material was notably thinner. MRE were palletized and the requirements were they had to survive airdrops. I guess they decided that isn’t really necessary.
