So yours is a metal tray, isn´t it?!
The 3018 is the right numer. Was January 18th, 2003 (or 1993

I think the "EST 13018" is the USDA ESTablishment identification code for the facility where the product was processed and packaged.

But where is the "packing" code? Both others numbers are >X365.MCIera wrote:I think the "EST 13018" is the USDA ESTablishment identification code for the facility where the product was processed and packaged.

Maybe the metal tray´s did had a packing code?
Hey C-Rats, while this site was down momentarily, I took a look at the contract pricing that DSCP has for the Wornick UGR-H&S, at http://www.dscp.dla.mil/subs/rations/pr ... r/Z192.pdf
It looks like many of the meat entrees are priced well below the contract price even when you take into account their .25% net 10 discount. The prices for the dessert and rice are a bit higher than the contract price though. It looks like the contract prices include delivery as does Longlife's prices, so with a bit of careful shopping and comparison, the Longlife prices don't look that bad after all. And the UGR H&S are all more current stuff than the old metal tray packs.
BTW, I did see some of the old tray packs in a surplus store the other day, they all looked like baked goods and/or side dishes, and they wanted about $15 each. But given the amount of rust on the trays, I don't think I would have touched them with the proverbial 10 ft. pole.

I don't know where the date code is, I've never had much interest in those. #10 cans and disposable half size steam table trays work out better for me for that kind of usage. I don't know if the metal trayed versions came in a cardboard sleeve like the current UGR H&S do, but could it be on the cardboard sleeve or on the metal lid?

Hey Lifesaver, C-Rats, and Kman
I will drop by the place and check on prices, coding and condition of those tray rats. I remember he has Chili with beans and White rice for sale. Like I mentioned before "not much variety". But he did have a fair price on each. Soon as I gather my information I will post it here.
