Tan color of U.S. Military MRE menu packaging changed?

Post by Prospector » Sat Jun 02, 2007 4:32 am

Does anybody know if the U.S. Military changed the tan color of the plastic MRE menu sealed package in 2006 or 2007 to date?

It seems the 10-year Julian date-cycle of the tan color MRE's should have ended in 2005 (1996-2005). One person told me he thought they maybe are using clear packaging but wasn't sure.

Thanks ahead of time.

That's a pretty cool pdf, jubifahrer. I just ran across it for the first time a couple of days ago and it contains a wealth of MRE/ration information.
