Italian MRE
Ok, guys, I feel sufficiently "smacked down" in regards to my comments about breakfast rations.
My only defense is that I've just had the British rations personally...but I have a load of EPa cases coming in soon so I won't be able to plead ignorance much longer.
Great pics, by the way.
And housil...we do have the "Cheese and Vegetable Omelet" MRE and there's some sort of new "Granola and Milk" MRE coming next year...so technically, there is a breakfast MRE. But can you imagine that it's breakfast time and 12 guys have to fight it out for who get the one single breakfast entree in the case. Even worse...some poor guy is going to get stuck with Country Captain Chicken.
Great pics, by the way.

So my idea to intend a breakfast IHOP-MRE wouldn´t make me rich?!
I have to cancel that Ferrari-order I did real quick....
But serious, are there any intension to make a real "breakfast MRE" like other countries (canada) have?
I can´t imagine to have chicken, ham, meatloaf and gravy etc... for breakfast.
Why do they not make an individual omelete-MRE like the T-18 they have? Heat up in a FRH...
If 12 guy´s have to share a box, it´s enough for all for one meal. So they will need 3 boxes a day. So one box could be a breakfast one, isn´t it?
Or wouldn´t the troops accept a breakfast MRE and prefer to let everything as it is?!
Hey guys,
I tried the French coffee, milk substitute, and cocoa. It's not bad but the milk clumps up and has grainy taste to it and the coffee is a bit overporwering. It's okay, but I still think the MRE cocoa and coffee is much better.
I can rememebr in the past the US MRe's always had that disgusting Cheese omlette in every case. It was really bad and nobody wanted it.
So you always had to make do.
Nowadays the US has those a T-rations and they're really good. Natick is trying to put more taste into them. I've had the pancakes, and morning meats before and I heard that real butter is coming soon,
It all comes in big cardboard boxes marked accordingly and you just throw them in big pots of water or ovens. But in case of a emergency just walk over to the contracted dining facility and order whatever is on the menu.

My bet is that is will be very similar to Mtn House's "Blueberry Granola" freeze dried cereal. Mtn House, I think, does make some freeze dried foods for the military. This particular item just requires some added water. It tastes pretty good.kman wrote:... and there's some sort of new "Granola and Milk" MRE coming next year...s
Bona Na Croin
Mountain House produces ALL the freeze dried items in the MCW's, They are identical to their two person entrees... And surprisingly tasty !wolfmonk wrote:My bet is that is will be very similar to Mtn House's "Blueberry Granola" freeze dried cereal.
