I never have good luck with those pound cakes! They always go rancid on me, it's gross!
Ya gotta get a non-rancid Almond Poppy seed sometime Simon. Those are fantastic.

Hey guys, one of my favorite menus is a 2010 menu #4 Maple Sausage Patty. That lineup was amazing. Has the Maple Muffin Top, apple butter, the blueberry w/ granola. Total sugar bomb - probably god awful for ya. But a lot of fun. If you ever get a 2010 DoP case A, you're in luck with that and the brisket with that weird 4 grams of trans fat biscuit. :)

But yeah - I am on the hunt for an Applesauce Cake now.

Killed by rancid pound-cake. I know that will be on my tomb stone.

I seem to have great luck with them. I had one last year from 88 that was still fine (chocolate mint - miss that one almost as much as orange)

No wonder I didn't know it. Sounds wrong, somehow.

TFF is a good thing a very good thing, far better for your health sure it tastes less good but I would rather have TFF than TF

Funny they use that shorthand expression as if everyone would know what it means. Ha ha.

Cakes are always good in Mres. I even loved the old nut cakes in brown wrapper rations.

There was enough TFF in those old things to drop a Rhino. :D
You can't even get that much TFF now days with a prescription. :D

Seriously though, it is great to see Natick cycling most of the TFF out of rations. Pretty much all of consumer products has already done this about 5 years ago. There are many "health" kicks floating around these days with very little actual scientific medical support but the negative health effects of Trans Fatty Acids are well documented and since there are many substitutions for it, there is not much reason to keep it around.
