hexi stove and Crusader cup is the usual method for 24hr...

The British soldiers are expected to carry a 'tommy-cooker/Esbit stove get-up, in their kit, just like the Germans, whom, by the way, carry their own steel knife/fork/spoon set. It's no secret, EPa's have no plastic spoon/whatever. P.S. Americans don't say 'Kit'. We say 'Gear'.

I've finally gotten my hands on a case of ORP's. Having trouble though which menu to begin eating

One bummer is that as far as I can see there is no hazlenut spread, was looking forward to try one of the red squeeze tubes! Thought they were included in almost every ration

So I've had the all day breakfast and it was awesome.. The gas it gave me after was other worldly. Your mileage may vary but if you don't want get voted off the life raft you might want to try it to see how it treats you.

Yes, mess-kit, is correct, for that item only. Everything else is gear, not kit. My bad.
