Polish S-RG-4 24 Hr.

Post by DangerousDave » Thu Mar 16, 2017 9:00 pm

Just got this huge, comparable in size to the Italian, Polish #4. To open, or not to open, and save for hunting season? You old-school MRE.com guys know I'm going to open it. Came in Super-condition from Poland, yesterday.

Yep, had to open it. Had 1 casualty. The Jam(strawberry) leaked. Not too bad. Caused a tad stickiness on the cup package and couple other items. Could have been worse. I actually opened the tub of jam and ate it. Still fresh. Main entree cans were a tad dented but not a problem. Plan on ordering more from this guy in Poland. Here's a couple opening pics.

Does anyone know what Tyrolean is? I'm doing a search, looks like something like fat or bacon-fat or spam type product. I figure the Polish don't eat pure fat and brains, like the poor slob Russian soldiers eat. Sucks to be a Russian soldier, I guess, but whatever you grew up eating, I guess for them. Whatever. Live and let live.

Delicuous can tell you all about the ingredients of these. I don't mind too much what's in those Tyrolean lunch meat tins but it tastes pretty good to me and never gives me any issues

The Tyrolean has nothing to do with Tirol in Austria (although the meaning comes from this name), it is a commercial name known in Poland for 30-40 years. This is a mixed beef-pork coarse luncheon meat, oretty fatyy. Containsgarlic and some other spices.
Have access to: Polish, French, UK, US, sometimes other.
Interested in:New Zealand, Jordan, Israel, any South America

Pate? We have Tirolska here it's called Tirolska sausage, more like a salami. Polish one is luncheon meat, Croatian one is salami. So your german Tiroler is a pate even it has wurtz in name like ours?
