Menu 18 Beef Patty (2008)
Review of Menu 18 Beef Patty Made May 12 2998
This ration was kinda weird for me. There was no desert found, but there was two pieces of wheat snack bread.
The Beef Patty was still pretty good to be almost 10 years old. Tasted like a highly processed piece of meat with artificial smoke flavoring added. It did have some nice char marks on it. The FRH did not work so well and it left the meat with solid fat still on it. I found that the juice that was in with the meat made it taste even better.
The BBQ sauce was kinda sweet and not spicy at all. Good Stuff.
The Mexican macaroni was hardly edible for my taste. It had a big pepper taste and the cheese tasted a bit off. That may be because of the age.
The Cheese spread with bacon was decent. It had a big bacon flavor. I spread it on a piece of the wheat snack bread. The sweetness of the snack bread combined with the saltiness of the cheese was great.
The Nacho Cheese Pretzels (combos) were my favorite part. Still taste fresh.
There was no hot beverage included only an Instant Ice tea and a Raspberry Beverage Base. They were both very tasty. There was a hot beverage bag included.
Standard accessory pack which included with salt, toilet paper, matches, gum, and a spoon.
Personally I would not eat this MRE again.

I agree! When I was on active duty this and the veggie burger one would pop their ugly heads out sometimes! Back in the box they would go....Aircrashinfo wrote:Personally I would not eat this MRE again.

I hear that. the meat wasn't that bad for 10 years old, just wasn't my style I guess. It was weird that there wasn't anything close to a desert or anything with any sweetness to it.

Time travelling rations! No wonder the cheese tasted "off".Aircrashinfo wrote:Review of Menu 18 Beef Patty Made May 12 2998...

Re: Menu 18 Beef Patty (2008)
Ive got a couple beef patties one menu 8 and one menu 18, i was under the assumption that they were from 2007 and 2008 respectively but am I wrong? The #8 beef patty has a julian code of 7247 and the #18 has a code of 8269...so is there a chance my #18 is actually a 98 perhaps? As joe dirt once said "IM NEW AND I DONT KNOW WHAT TO DOOOOO!!!"

You get two wheat breads so you can make a burger!

Something doesn't jive. Beef patty was menu #8 from 2002-2008 and #18 from 2009-2010.DANTHEMANDOTCOM wrote: ↑Fri Aug 10, 2018 6:47 pmIve got a couple beef patties one menu 8 and one menu 18, i was under the assumption that they were from 2007 and 2008 respectively but am I wrong?
