So I'm looking for something to store the unused items from the MREs, I was thinking something plastic that had deviders to put drinks on one, accessory packs, cheese peanut butter and jellies and so on to make it a little more orginized for quick retrivial . Any idea on what you guys do? And who am I kidding the cheese spread is never left extra but I always seem to have something left and I mostly use mine while driving a tractor trailer so while I'd like it to be compact it doesn't need to be too small.
I bought one of the Tupperware totes that has the drawers that pull out from front and the plan is to section the drawers off into 2 sides in which drinks in one, mains in another, accessory packs in another etc... With labels in front.
I don't have nearly what some of you guys have but if it works well I'll post pics on the finished product and hope it works positive and not so positives comments welcome to help get the kinks worked out.
Gallon zip lock bags. They stack nicely in a box and hold a ton. Plus I can mini bag items together for quick packs. Or in my case you-tube give away bags. Don't like to waste what I'm not going to use.
Plastic beer/camping coolers. Size depending on how many of what item(s). Keeps the climate controlled better, keeps the mice out (they have figured out there's peanut butter in those squeeze packs!), and its a mini treasure hunt when craving that last maple muffin top I was sure was in this pile of deserts!

I mostly use the US ration cases that most of the stuff comes in, divided into categories; full cases, mains, desserts etc. The cases are very strong, uniform in size and stack nicely. They are also free lol. I keep Little stick on color coded tags with contents, inspection dates, etc. on them. 1 shelf in ready room pictured....
