2016 menu 18 Beef Ravioli in Meat Sauce (wornick )

This one was a winner for me, not as extremely fake tasting as some of the others.

It contained:

-FRH
-hot beverage bag
-Beef snack strip (one of my favourites)
-muffin top chocolate and banana
-wheat snack bread
-orange beverage powder
-accessory pack (with Tabasco :) YES!!! )
-main entree beef ravioli in meat sauce
-cheese spread
-MRE spoon
-frh sleeve

So I set up the entrée in the FRH to heat and made up the coffee using the non dairy creamer and the sweetener. It was very weak coffee compared to European style coffee and very sweet but tasted fine and was warm on a cold day.

I then made up the orange beverage , diluted it a little more than advised in approximately 20oz water. Drank half while eating the beef snack strip, I LOVE these. I wish we got these in Ireland more easily.

Then the entrée was ready, I put it into my old enamel bowl again and tried it without the Tabasco, it was OK, like ravioli from a can, perfectly acceptable. Then I mixed the Tabasco and half the cheese spread through it, it became a winner right there. I enjoyed that pretty well for some slightly sketchy food out of a packet. I'd "warmed " the cheese by keeping it in my pants pocket until that point.
Finished off the cheese spread out of the tube

On to desert,

Ate the wheat snack bread, that is pretty dry and quite sweet but it's not unpleasant. It reminds me of the base bread part of "welsh cakes" (which are delicious by the way).
Then I ate the chocolate and banana muffin top, again a little dry but it was tasty
. finished the last of the drink, used the moist towelette and chewed the gum.

Americans reading this... Is it normal for gum there to loose it's flavour very quick? It tastes good but that wears off fast .

Anyway over all this wasn't a bad meal at all. It was my first time trying this one and its on my "stock up on these ones" list.

Hey man,

As a Brit, I can see where you're coming from. Our Wrigley's Extra gum keeps its flavour, and integrity for some time in our mouths. The same can not be said for the MRE gum - it lost its flavour in second and disintegrated in my mouth into a million little pieces.

We have the same gum in Ireland as the UK and mostly the same sweets companies. I know Wrigley is in America too but these chicklet gums are weird. They always break up on my too it's odd. But aside from that menu 18 went well
