Let me know!
I am torn between keeping it sealed and holding onto it for as long as I can, or opening it and video/photo documenting it for everyone to see...

I had the same thought, too.Eistee wrote:I say keep it for now sealed until you made some more reviews.
This type of Gem deserves a perfect review.
Thanks for that great bit of information!steve1989 wrote:
Here is a link to a review I did on the SA-3.
The smokes are still intact - but if you want to review this properly, ya gotta get the research down - and you can do that through here:

A few other sources for the SA & ST in the Other Reviews section here too.
The SA-3 was produced in 1952 - the SA-1 replaced the Emergency Parachute Ration (Used by the AAF during WW2) in 1948, updating the model # every other year.
The Survival Arctic and Survival Tropics were joined together as the "Food Packet, Survival, General Purpose" and packed by Cincinnati Association for the Blind in 1964 (Or maybe it was 66...aw heck I forget all the sudden) - replacing the SA and ST after the procurement's for those Rations were exhausted.
Take solid photos, follow your senses, immerse yourself into and and soak up what will be one of the most exciting and unique experiences .. at least that is how I feel when I open things like this.
Eistee is right - do some other reviews first to gain some solid experience. Because once you open this bad boy, you don't get a second chance at it!
I hope the inside held up as well as the outside did! Only time will tell, though...Westview wrote:It looks to be in excellent condition on the outside, quite amazing actually. The inside is probably a different story though.
When you decide to do a review please post here again, i would love to see itConnorG wrote:I hope the inside held up as well as the outside did!
