I just scored two cases of Military MREs for $40!
Menu A and B! I'm stoked.
Inspection date is 2008 too!
I found a great place to get MREs is
http://www.craigslist.org.
I've seen people selling all kinds of rations on there. IMPs, MREs, cold weathers, civie and military too!

Nice score! I hadn't tried craigslist for MREs before but it sounds like it might be worth a look.

i just picked them up and he threw in half a dozen of the older military mres in the darker brown bags with a late 90s pack date.
Just popped one open and their as fresh as ever. Better then mom used to make. Then again almost anything's better then burnt TV dinners

Which craigslist site did you find them on? I've been checking around some of their sites on the east cost and haven't found much so far.

It was at the Ventura site. Just throw up a wanted post on one around your home town and people will pummel you with emails. Atleast they did for me. Maybe I'm just lucky

Thanks for the tip. I was thinking of doing that so maybe we'll see what the response is like.

You could also check out freecycle. People post wanted and offered items on there and it's all free. You can check out their site @
