Case of MCWs for $65, is it worth it?
Hi all,
I know someone who is selling cases of modern MCWs (Meal, Cold Weather) from 2013 for $65 per case. And he has five cases. If you were in my shoes, would you just buy one case for $65 or buy all five of them for $325? I'm having a tough time making this decision for myself because I know they are quite rare but I'm pretty conservative with my funds by nature so I don't like spending that kind of money. But out of curiosity, what would you do?

You buy all 5 then ship 3 to me. Just a thought.

The last time I bought a case of MCWs in the past year, they were $125 for a sealed case, and I thought I got a good deal on them (at least comparing to what they frequently go for). I think that is a very good deal, and would probably get at least two cases (you can always keep some for trading stock). That's my two cents at least.

$65 a case is a good deal. If you have the extra $$ buy all of them, keep 1-2 cases, trade 1-2 cases then sell the remainder on Ebay for profit.

I would be willing to buy one case with you. Provided they are still in the original sealed case.
PM if you are willing to do that.

Confirm if "from 2013" means manufactured then or expired then. I've had a similar miscommunication like that more than once.

It most certainly is a thought indeed! However, I don't think I will break even.shawker71 wrote:You buy all 5 then ship 3 to me. Just a thought.
I'm not sure yet. But if they are, I will definitely pick up an extra case for you and anyone else here that wants one. I will keep two for myself, so if someone would like a case and is willing to cover the $65 plus shipping, please let me know before 5 PM PST!rabidwolf wrote:I would be willing to buy one case with you. I also see this a lot. I can confirm from the pictures he sent, they were manufactured in December 2013 and expire in 12-2016. I'm certain that they will last longer provided that they are freeze dried meals and those can last up to 20-30 years at least.Apocalypse wrote:Confirm if "from 2013" means manufactured then or expired then. Buy all of them. I have never seem them that low before since they aren't too common in the market. They will provide value pieces on trade on this forum.SentientTootsieRoll wrote:Hi all,

Good luck and may your rations stay unspoiled!

Given that they're mostly freeze dried and that they are made for arctic conditions it should matter too much. However, price would be an issue.Apocalypse wrote:Confirm if "from 2013" means manufactured then or expired then. I've had a similar miscommunication like that more than once.

Is the $65 shipping for one case or the whole lot?
