Hey everyone. I had a question to pose to the group regarding Chinese PLA rations. I can only find one date on the package, which is on the bottom "seam" of the outer wrapper on both the green-packaged type 9, and the brown-packaged type 13. Is this date the DoP, or is it a "best by" date?

I was told the type number 9 would be a production date of 2009 and 13 being 2013. There's a guy on ebay selling new typ 15-16 rations. for 15.00 plus 15.00 shipping. I just type in rations and several pages pop up.

Yes, This date is a production date.
"An expiration date is 36 months" is written to the back side.
