Excellent entree! It has, perhaps, just a touch more chili powder than I would choose - but a good, robust flavor. The serving is generous, the sauce quite nice, the texture appealing.
All in all, highly recommended!

I had one yesterday. I shouldn't have added the whole picante sauce package. Though it was the hottest meal I've ever eaten it was tasty. I've never seen anything like those refried beens before. They looked pretty strange and weren't tasty but went well with the enchilada.
Please give me some advice on this: I've got a general problem with the FRH: I don't get my meals evenly warm. They are hot at the bottom and cold at the top. I think this is caused by the water not reaching the upper two chambers of the chemical. I shake the heater quite a bit after adding the water, but it doesn't help.

The FRHs have worked well for me, but I'm really careful about following the instructions.
Do you keep the heater and the ration above the water line during filling? Do you make sure to work the food all down into the lower portion of the pouch prior to insertion into the heating bag? Do you give it a full minute in a horizontal postion? (this last item seems important to get full activation.)
I then make sure to give the ration at least 12 - and usually 15 minutes to heat fully. After I open the pouch, I like to stir it to further equalize the heat...
