K Ration Case just opened
Re: K Ration Case just opened
Will be interesting to see what that goes for! I am betting it will be nowhere near his asking price though...

Wow, very nice! What a find!

They can keep it for that kind of price. I know of a guy in NC that makes nice repo k rations. I believe gundog has done a few youtube reviews on them.

Re: K Ration Case just opened
Assuming they come out of the case as individual boxes and not a stuck together mess, he's not crazy on his estimates of what the high end value of the whole thing would be if parted out and sold. If he's selling it to someone that would intend to do that, then they'd want to at least double their money so selling it to break up and resell he should be asking about $2500-3000 for it. Selling to a collector, he shouldn't have touched the inner box for one thing... that aside he probably could auction it through the right company for much more. A complete set of anything is always worth more than the sum of its parts to a collector. An original complete set where nothing is swapped in to make it whole is worth even more. A complete untouched case in good shape is probably worth $10,000 to the right buyer.
