Funny thing is that I checked my MRE entree cardboard collection 2 days ago and I asked myself the same question :)

From the '93 menus: Beef Frankfurters, Spaghetti w. Meat and Sauce, Corned Beef Hash.

From later production: Beefsteak w. Mushrooms,
Beef Enchiladas
Beef Stew
Black bean& Rice Burrito
Chicken Cavatelli
Chicken Salsa
Chili Macaroni

Current or recent: Vegetable Lasagna
Chicken Fajita

I like the spicy ones. I would also like to try Mexican Chicken and Sloppy Joe..

Beef stew was a standby throughout my military career, though all time is probably BBQ Beef w/Rice or Corned Beef Hash from back in the old days.

I would take the spaghetti. This was y most favorite back in MCI day´s in is it still today.
Housil my MCI favorite also. I liked the canned spaghetti cold or hot. Everybody liked the spaghetti and wanted to trade with the troop that drew it... Liked the Beans w/Meat Balls in Tomato Sauce as a high second place.

Modern day, I like the Mediterranean Chicken, or Chicken, with tomatoes and feta, with cornbread stuffing. That may change with some of the newer meal options, especially since it looks like they are phasing it out. :?

but, I really miss the old freeze dried Fruit Cocktail... :)

Thinking about the old days
MRE Menus VI (1986) Meatballs & BBQ Sauce TS 8 oz
Much like the mini meatballs you get at an American Wedding reception.
If my memory serves me these also were a good trading item. Everybody liked them

I was thinking about this for a little while, when it just popped in there: Jalfrazi with Lamb from a Halal case. Without a doubt this was the tastiest ration I'd ever eaten. The entree was insanely good, and the mix of snacks was overwhelming. Nuts, Chex Mix, Dried Fruit, Mocha Pudding (not a powdered pudding, extremely rich) and more.

Favortie regular MRE - Meatloaf w/Gravy, Side of Mashed Potatoes. It's simple and always tasted great - would eat that one anytime
