(If they served coffee in those bags at some high-level general staff meeting, it'd happen overnight.) I'll also echo the need for more spices, packed separately for those who prefer bland foods. I don't like the fact that the FRH is so anemic it barely warms one item.
I don't chew gum, but I have tried the stuff they put in MREs. Once.
I'm lucky: I liked everything I've ever eaten. So even though some entrees do taste odd, I didn't find any unpalatable enough to not finish them. Among my least favorites were the older chicken breasts - chicken is so bland that all I tasted was the MRE preservative.
I really wished there was more breakfast items as well, the breakfast MRE's seems to be favorites among others..

I think that's a matter of culture, housil. Teutonic tastebuds aren't trained to enjoy peppery dishes. My parents were of German and Czech heritage, and I had never tasted hot sauce or peppers until I was an adult. I fell in love with "hot stuff" at that point. But not without pain! As the saying goes, it was an acquired taste.
Cleverly disguised as a responsible adult.

I dont like the apple cinnamon ranger bars, harder than wood, and drier than a desert
Spice is subjective, i have eaten a naga scoripion (never will again), since then nothing is really "too hot".

Yes. They came with a #24 Meatloaf w/ gravy
Did you ever had a "Müller Milch Walnuß"? They have also a very rich walnut taste - too rich for me. These ones were similar.
