The 4 man compo packs were a surprise to me in the Gulf in 91. I had a Navy EOD unit close to my Coast Guard base and I was able to acquire 7 boxes of them still sealed and sent them home. My Wife stored them in a closet after she and the kids opened a case and found the candy/chocolate cans. unfortunately I did not know then about proper storage and the Pilchards BLEW their tops later and made an ungodly smelly mess.
I come in peace. I didn't bring artillery. But I'm pleading with you, with tears in my eyes: If you **** with me, I'll kill you all.

And much loved by me :-) Mine spends time living in my webbing with a hot brew in it, ready to drink whenever I pause.

Once caused a Texan from the ANG some confusion as we brewed up whilst providing fire support for an attack on exercise
