I e-mailed the company (which is out of Denmark) and they do not ship to the US at present time. What a shame, I was really interested in the product. :(

Sodjer,

Thanks for the tip. I tried googling both "heat stick" and "heat gear of Denmark" looking for product reviews, especially ones from the US but all I got was the company website and their posted reviews. Perhaps I'm not doing something right. Also thanks for the flameless cook web link. Didn't know something like that was out there. It definitely looks like something more advanced and faster than a FRH, but you said the sachets are quite expensive? Does the company sell them separately or do they need to bought as a complete unit?

the refills are available seperately, about $10 for a packet of 7 which is resonable. i am thinking about a mix of the two and making up a tube/lid for a 58 waterbottle and using these sachets and see if i can make it work

Sodjer,

Again thanks for info on that. I'll keep that product on "standby" if nothing else plays out. I am still interested in trying to get a heatstick, but purchasing one from the company seems impossible. Any suggestions?
