Thanks so much for the recipe Yowie, and thanks to your mother as well! I'm not sure if this is for another topic or not, but would these be considered digestive biscuits and if not, what exactly does that term refer to? I do realize that Australian customs differ slightly from the UK and certain terms may not have the same meaning. Thanks again

I don't know if they are 'digestive' biscuits it is not a term common in Australia. I have heard of the term but only in reference to the UK (eastenders I think). Maybe one of the boys from Britain can fill us in

Not familiar with the term either but I think he (rationtin440) means if you eat a bunch of these do things.... get moving... digestive wise

Actually I was wondering that myself which was why I was at first hesitant to mention it and have Yowie possibly think that I was insulting his mother. What made me decide to mention it however was I have seen them in stores here and the ingredients seem to be ones commonly associated with calming of the stomach and intestines instead of causing a physic-type of effect. Sorry for any confusion or mis-understanding.

No insult taken mate , no harm ever asking questions. Can honestly say after years of eating these, none of my family or I have ever had any digestive explosions after eating too many of these , however they are high in fibre, as a guess that could be similar to said digestive's.

Thanks, Yowie! I sometimes get over-sensitive about offending folks. I'm going to ask my wife to make some biscuits this weekend. We have a place in Hadley, Massachusetts, called "Whole Foods Market" and if anyone carries that list of ingredients it will be them, so we'll be heading about 1/2 hour down the road and checking them out.
