Being developed: CM and FSR

Post by CaptBob » Mon Feb 06, 2006 3:14 am

Saw a Feb 2005 report online and it mentioned that the folks at the Research, Development, Testing and Evaluation shop are planning to:

Transition the Compressed Meals to DSCP for procurement in the fouth quarter of this year....and....

Transition First Strike Ration procurement documentation to DSCP in the fourth quarter of NEXT year.

I've read that the First Strike Ration might see fielding in 2007, but it might take longer than that.

Meanwhile, try those pocket sandwiches on eBay. That, a HooAH! bar, and some Jolt caffeine energy gum should hold you until the real thing gets packaged.

Where have you seen pocket sandwiches on eBay? I haven't seen them.

Well now, try as I might, I cannot pull up any of the completed auctions for this item. It must've been too far back.

But there was a guy selling, like, twenty or so in a lot. I remember that some were honey-mustand chicken, and BBQ pork or beef.

They might turn up again. Stay tuned.

Here's a pretty good news item: http://www.ftmeade.army.mil/SoundOff/Ar ... ndwich.htm

Yum!

A Hot Pockets brand frozen sub, available at Food Dog. They are rather tasty. I like the Philly steak and cheese one, myself.

This one's "Honey BBQ Chicken".

Notice how much skinnier these look compared to the one pictured earlier in this topic!
