Hi,
check the MREInfo.com site - there you`ll find the Menue list and choose your very own Breakfast delight!
Anyway, some like it sweet and with Granola - others hot and spicy - but always there`s a main dish inside the US MRE`s thats hearty.
Think about for whom and for which circumstances are the MRE made for? Is there a "special" Breakfast - Lunch - Dinner" time on duty?
The answer is easy - and in combat situations or field conditions - believe me - you wouldn`t eather ask for - what time it is to choose your meal - you want something to eat - even if it`s night or day! :?

Greets,

Perhaps a language barrier but i understood the question a little differently.

My answer would be yes, there have always been a few in the general, MRE's and MCW's and even more for the tray rations.

For specific menus the main site has all the info you could need, but in general for MRE:
-Cheese & Vegetable Omelet
-Maple Sausage
-Pork Sausage w/Gravy

Other wise, i usually have a cider/coffee with crackers/wsb and jam/pb as a quick informal breakfast.

well ... I'm just spoiled epa ...
by the EPA that the Bundeswehr are designed for 24 hours because you have the possibility to take his breakfast as usual, so as to be as we know it.
my imagination was something in the direction of cereals with ham and eggs or something ...

vom aspekt her das es im gefecht egal ist was und wann man isst ist ja soweit richtig...
aber ich könnte nur schwer eine warme deftige mahlzeit früh am morgen essen :?

MOD: I translated it via google translater for you so everybody can read it

aspect of it in her battle-no matter what and when to eat is so far right ...
But I just could seriously eat a warm hearty meal early in the morning

Actually yes, that "omlette" was a specific breakfast MRE BUT
But I just could seriously eat a warm hearty meal early in the morning
you answered your question by yourself.
We are used to "continental breakfast"
Image so from out of a MRE, I used the WSB, the crackers, the cheese spread and jam for breakfast but not the (any) entree.

Yes - these are typycally breakfast components in the US! I love them - never hat that Omelet - actually there are only the Maple sausage and the veryvery tasti pork sausage w/Gravy and bisquit in the newest MRE! Unfortunately, no more breakfast components - but they made more MRE`s now with granola in it! And the good cinnamon bun! Lovely!

I do mixing of MRE for my personal needs, depending on how long, and wich time I go outdoors!
So I had always my favorites with me - must not eat what`s inside a specific ration, can pick my best likes!
How do you (anybody here) go? :?:

Actually MREs, especially the ones even during the past 10 years, have alot more breakfast choices than the old MCIs ever did. Back in the day when we still were issued MCIs, you had the choice of saving your crackers with spreads or if you were lucky your pound cake, and eating them as breakfast. Of course if you made the supply sergeant or whomever else was in charge of handing out rations on a drill weekend angry, you might end up with the chopped eggs and ham   which after a few years in some warehouse by the time you finally got it, looked like the lorax bathed in the can! Anyway welcome to the forums, medic911 and I love the older MASH episodes! :D
