New Russian battle rations

I have a relative who is an Army officer and spends about 6 months out of the year in Kyrgyzstan. As you all probably know there is a large permanent Russian military force there. He interacts with the Russian officers a lot. He, like me, enjoys rations. It seems that the Russian Army has altered its battle rations after the South Ossetian War of 2008. We have all seen photos of the "lunch tray with a handle." My cousin told me that they are deceptively heavy. The Russians have gone to a more NATO style of packaging. I have uploaded some photos from a Russian webpage (the page is following some new conscripts.) Admittedly, my cousin, who speaks Russian, found the page on google.ru. (I am a Russophile). My cousin says there is also a version with the new Russian digital camo. Apparently these new rations come in multiple menus as well unlike the IRP-B.

BTW he also said massive amounts of "civilan" versions of IRPs were deployed during South Ossetia War. The Russian soldiers apparently began to bet when they opened the pack whether or not the wrapping would be OD or the civilian bright marketing colors.

They sell them on ebay USA at very high prices. They call them "officer's rations".
They also sell the old "tray" IRP's both civie and military, still expensive.

New russian ration in the new package.
It looks like it has less food than the old trays...

I obtained this new IRP.
This differs in a design as compared with IRP on eBay.
Although a part of the content is different, it is well alike.
I eat this within several days.
I'm very interested in whether beef stew is dog food.

Technical conditions of production diets changed several times. Now gone back to plastic packaging. It looks like this:
