What really bugs me about the postal system is the laziness of the drivers. A few times I've had packages that never showed up in tracking but were delivered. I talked to a postal worker about this and he said they aren't strictly required to scan the packages. I wonder what else they aren't strictly required to do or not do with our goods...

FDSman,

Well here's one for you. I asked a postal clerk one time why my parents mail took so much longer to deliver than the mail that was being delivered on a similar street one block over. She inquired about the street address and automatical said that my parents house lived on cul-de-sac and that streets like that in the US are considered a "special route" by the USPS and it takes the mail carrier "extra time" to deliver all the mail to that route even though it's one city block difference.

Now tell me this: what's the difference between the two city streets?

Arrival at Unit, January 13, 2011, 4:59 am, LAKEWOOD, WA 98499
Is this really happening? Will it really be delivered tommorow?

By the way.. treesuit.. please check out the delivery. I really want to know if it's a donkey carriage with some floaters strapped to the sides. I might really believe it when it turns out to be true.

That speeed. It just had to be a donkey, swimming over the ocean.

We don't call them the 'US Snail' for nothing!
BTW, I just sent a 2 Kilo package to the UK, $22 USD. To send the same weight from the UK to the US is $45
Same weight, same distance...
