The buns felt "waxy"

The texture and taste was like from the "wheat bread", not like the WSB(!):

Ja.

After 8 hrs in the crockpot:

Take two forks and "pull it apart"

That´s where the name "pulled pork" comes from.

Excellent :D You can do a lot with it when its stringy like that!
Thats why I like Brisket beef too, You can do a similar thing because the texture is like your pulled pork.

Makes appetite, looks really fine :D ! 8 :!: hours cooking :?: But I know that a long cooking process meat makes tender and very delicate, but 8 hours is very, very long!

I have two packages of that Hamburger Buns in my basement, I guess also DoP 2003, but I never tasted them. The idea of toasting them is really good  .

That´s the idea of "Low-temperature cooking". You cook it "an eternity" on a low temperatur (8 hrs on 80°). At the end, you turn it on "high" for another hour. Thats what the "Crockpots" are made for.

Cole Slaw added on top adds a lot of flavor.

I got the same thing in my crock pot even before I saw this post. :D

But our electrical plugs for our pot is different in the USA than in Germany.

Yep.
I ordered that one from Amazon UK, it was cheaper than Amazon Germany  I just change the plug.
American one wouldn´t work anyway as we use 230V.
