Shipping Glass Tabasco Overseas?

Post by crunchie » Sat Mar 20, 2010 9:05 am

From the experienced folks here I would appreciate if you have any tips on packaging GLASS Tabasco bottles for mailing overseas.

I figure the cardboard box is standard. But how have you wrapped or padded the glass bottles?

Has anyone here been on the end of a glass bottle shipment and got it intact?

I shipped Tabasco to Norway, I just wrapped them in lots of bubble wrap.
Those bottles are pretty tough!

This is what I did as well. Reports from the recipients indicate they all arrived intact.

Is it my imagination, or, are some Earth'ers so desparate for Tabasco, that they would worry about it? I'll send 10 MRE Tabasco's and 2 Green ones', to Anywhere in the world, Fedex, for $500 US. If it's that important! :D

Those little bottles are very though, and don't really need anything more then a cardboard box.. Due to their light weight, and small cylinder form, with thick glass.. their very.. very though..

But why all that effort if you can buy tobasco in the european supermarkets?

But they'll have to beat me to death with it because it's empty.

Well, if they mean that much, maybe I should stop throwing them in the garbage. For real US Gov't. Hot sauce, Baumer Foods, aka, Bruce Foods, Louisiana, current and long term contractor for mess hall hot sauce, can't get any better. 8)

I think they should be fine. If they can ship them from the plant to the middle east and have them survive, it should be fine.
