MRE/FSR Sandwich Bread
Re: MRE/FSR Sandwich Bread
I've tried a couple of the FSR sandwich breads by themselves, and IMHO, I think they're better than the WSB. It's definitely less dense than WSB, and maybe a tad softer. WSB is good, but the sandwich bread is better.

Hey Treesuit - I have one of those plain FSR breads so I'll try to get a review up soon about it.Treesuit wrote:Just wanted to know if anybody had ordered any plain FSR bread from TheEpicenter? If so, what was it like? And any food reviews? I just got on line with TheEpicenter and ordered some. I even went further and ordered some of those cinnamon buns too. I was kind of curious how Natick would put cinnamon bun into a MRE or FSR and have it survive let alone taste?
As for the Cinnamon Buns, those are delicious!! The only thing missing is an peanut butter-sized packet of icing you could squeeze onto it - that would make it perfect.

I had my very first yesterday

I absolutly agree with kman. It tastes like a Starbucks cinnamon roll
Re: MRE/FSR Sandwich Bread
Housil,
Well, in that case I can't wait for them to arrive!
Starbucks does make a good cinnnamon roll but in some stores they are very hard to find. It is kind of hit or miss.

Re: MRE/FSR Sandwich Bread
Hey guys, just wanted to let you know that I tried that Cinnanmon sandwich one morning. It was very tasty, especially if you zap in the microwave for a few seconds and throw some real butter on top. Softens the bun right up and makes the cinnanmon and nutmeg more pronounced.
Then wash it down with some coffee.
On the flip side the MRE FSR sandwhich bread was something I wasn't expecting. Maybe I had my sights set a little high but the bread itself was, I thought, more dense. Kind of right up there with the WSB but thinner. That and I couldn't put too much filling on the inside. When I did the stuff came out over the sides and made a mess.
Has this happened with anybody else?
