Heater Meals Coffee

Post by Big Galloot » Fri Nov 13, 2009 10:03 pm

Heater Meals just released this; http://www.heatermeals.com/cafe2go/cafe2go-kits.html

I can think of some situations where it might be usable. They sell it by the case of 6 for $ 122.95. That works out to 108 cups at $ 1.14 per cup.

These new packs look pretty cool - it looks like a pouch you put water in and then you have a huge FRH that activates to heat up the water. I'm going to be trying one of these soon so I'll let you know how it works out.

It's really not much of a coincidence, 18 cups = 1 gallon. They tend to stick to common measures.

Fair one. But does anyone know if these could ship to the UK? As it would seem to be pretty good way of getting hot brews for a group whilst on the go.

Also, I'm willing to bet you could gut the chemical heater out of one of these and jury-rig it under a regular tray rat to kinda make an improvised UGR-E, should you wish to :D

Lemme see ... the same Taster's Choice individual tubes (in the Variety pack) sell for about 10 cents apiece ($1 for a box of 10). Not sure if the math equates to the price delta for some cups and sugar/creamer packets  While I'm not sure of the total cost for a tube of instant coffee, an FRH, a HBB, and the sugar tube and creamer packet in the Accessory pack comes to, I'd be inclined to guess that it's not over a buck (unless you're buying it on the secondary market.)

You know I've seen something similar like this at STARBUCKS where the get these carboard containers with a bladder. They put coffee in the bladder and then fill the sides with some heating device to keep the coffee warm or hot while in transport. I don't think this is something new but rather a more streamlined approach. The idea by heatermeals is still rather amazing and the fact the went with NESCAFE'/TASTER's CHOICE coffee. :)

Umm - which Nescafe line is it that matches Tasters Choice? Isn't it Gold Blend?

How would they advertise that one? Get Sharon Maughan and Tony Head back in?

Umm... Uh ... Taster's Choice? Nescafe (Nestlé) is the parent company of the Taster's Choice brand.
