Looks like the same thing as a "John Wayne" Bar. D ration from WW2.
After the Chicken and the Egg, came the "Omelet"!

Considering the crud we ate while in the scouts, those bars would have been delicious! :lol:

DangerousDave is correct.

It is a D-ration bar. During WW2, a limited number were made available for civilian use. Boy Scouts handbooks from the war years carried advertisements for these. When the War Dept. dropped the D-ration in 1945, so did the Scouts.
