Well, I can attest that, at least in Seoul, they do have their pick of American based restaurants. On a business trip there some years ago, I was rather amazed at the variety of US based chain restaurants that they had there. One would have found it hard to find an American chain that wasn't represented in this city of 10 million people. As one would expect, all of the large fast food chains were well represented all over the place, but I was pretty surprised to even find some of the smaller regional chains, like the East Coast based Friendly's Ice Cream.

Definitely hope that they don't start cracking down on that in the US... That would suck...
