armygear.net mre's
armygear.net mre's
I just bought a couple from www.armygear.net and the mre's look official but are missing things on the bag. http://www.armygear.net/ag/store/0120a.html here is the link. It's missing the govt property, and the Sopacko label is different. It says packaging instead of Inc. Has anyone ordered from them and give me info if their actual military mre's. I've emailed and asked if they were real and what the date is and all they said in 2007-2008 so I guess there fresh atleast.

This is the picture of the MREs from their website:

Is that what your MREs look like?

Re: armygear.net mre's
They look to be a "C" Case MRE to me The "C" case were made for military contractors and they do not have the government warning for resale on them. I picked up a couple of "C" case MRE's a few months back and they look just like the pack in the picture. The "C" case, at least in the ones I got are somewaht different in that they have a lot of snack items and more in one pack. The main menu is the same but the other items are different. Interesting to see if yours are like the ones I got. I really like the contractor meals I got.

Think so too, maybe they just remove the "resale is unlawfull..." part from a regular issued MRE in lack of a genuine Menu C MRE.German_EPA wrote:if you ask me its a photo manipulation...
Also see different brown of upper and lower bag.

Re: armygear.net mre's
I was thinking they photoshopped it. Now that I read what you guys say, did they remove the govt property, resale unlawful to sell more and not make people think they broke govt law. But if you look at there 2 case offer, there Ameriquil mre's and the cases look real. They don't look like menu C because they have the standard soldier logo on the left hand corner.
Re: armygear.net mre's
I buy MRE from them all the time, since I drive by their brick-and-mortar store.
I'll admit that I've wondered about the missing "resale" warnings, but they contain the same food stuffs.
I've personally A, B boxes. all of which seemed to look and taste correct for the newer 2003+ MREs.
My cases came with a snack bread and spread (the usual cheese variants) and some sort of candy.
"Imperials" (red hots) M&Ms, starbursts... and a couple others that I am forgetting right now.
...That said, does somebody really make "contractor MREs" that are labeled differently?
Either way, Armynet usually has good prices, and if those are not pure exact MREs, they are at least close enough to eat
